I specialise in mobile-first development, which means that I design the site for small screens first, then make the website react to larger screens by scaling up and repositioning elements. This leads to a seamless experience for your customers on all screen sizes.

You -hopefully- don't deliver shoddy products to your customers, so why should your website look lazy? I use modern tooling to develop your websites to allow me to focus on improving your customers' experience instead of wasting time fighting the tooling. This leads to a win-win, you don't pay me for time unnecessarily spent while taming my tooling and customers experience a more polished website.

Currently, I use SvelteKit, TypeScript, GSAP and Tailwind CSS to develop projects. This toolset allows me to quickly develop visually appealing sites that meet your aesthetic and functional needs. I am also a pretty quick learner, and have picked up new tooling within a matter of hours to help clients.

You'll notice that none of the tools I prefer are drag and drop website builders. All of them require code in some form to be useful. I've found some of these website builders to be limiting and slow, by coding your website, I have more or less complete control over looks, feel and functionality. Websites written with code also have the potential to be much faster because of reduced overheads - impressing customers and saving your resources.

I offer three main services to my clients covering all parts of your website's journey.

• Website Design - While I'm no artist, I can make websites that look pretty good - like this one. You can either provide some guidelines on the look you are going for, or let me freestyle your website based on a few constraints.

• Website Development - As opposed to the design side, programming is really my strong point. I can deliver fast, efficient and secure programs. Instead of using a CMS to design your website, I write it in code to deliver you faster performance and a wider range of features.

  I can do quite a few things, but here's a few common features I can do for you:

  • Accounts - Signing in, out and up.
  • SQL Databases - My database of choice is PostgreSQL, but I can work with any SQL database.
  • Uploading and Downloading files
  • Restricting access to pages
  • Blogs
  • E-Commerce/Online Shops
  • Menus - I felt that a menu would take away from this site, so here's one I made earlier: ppsl.nz.
  • Dynamic Forms - I can do the standard booking and contact forms, but I can also create custom forms that change based on user input.

  As a general rule of thumb, if it's been done before, I can probably do it for you. Websites where the website itself is what your paying for - like games, social media and streaming platforms - usually require a significant investment and might be in the range of NZD$20,000 upwards, but I have done this sort of project in the past. • Website Deployment & Maintenance - I also know my way around all the tools necessary to turn your website from a prototype only accessible on my machine to a website visible throughout the whole internet.

  Instead of offering managed hosting, I walk you through how to purchase your own server and domain name, then set it up on your behalf. This means that you have full control over your own website and can change whatever settings you like without having to go through me. Controlling your own server also means that if you find a better deal, you can capitalise on the savings!

  In the unlikely event you face issues down the line, you're not on your own. I will help with any issues you may face down the line. For the most part, all this configuration is set and forget.

• Keeping Secrets - My standard agreement includes a confidentiality clause, protecting your business's valuable information and maintaining your competitive edge.
